Sponsorships
The Siskiyou Arts Council works with independent projects throughout Siskiyou County. We partner with projects in many ways, both with full fiscal sponsorship, and with various levels of support.
A “sponsored” project is one of full fiscal sponsorship. The project becomes an integral part of SAC, makes use of SAC’s non-profit status in fundraising efforts, uses the SAC bookkeeping, accounting, insurance and other services. An agreed percentage of the project’s funds are retained by SAC to cover administrative costs.
A “supported” project has a more limited relationship with SAC, and SAC does not handle the financial bookkeeping for such projects. Publicity, insurance coverage for events, and operational assistance are examples of services used by supported projects.
To find out more about working with the Siskiyou Arts Council, please read the pdf documents linked below, then call our office to request a meeting with a Board member to discuss your needs. Each independent project, whether sponsored or supported, sets up a unique relationship and agreement with SAC. If your project’s activities fit the SAC mission, we are delighted to discuss ways we can work together.
