Linda M. Smith

Biography

Linda M. Smith is a native Californian.  She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  God called her to move to Siskiyou County in December of 2007.  She is a writer, artist and musician.  You may well find her jamming with other guitar players at the Thursday Night Weed Jam at The Mt. Shasta Brewing Company.  At least, sometimes.

Artist’s Statement

“I use art as an outlet for my passion.  I see a beautiful, fascinating world all around me.  Art is one method I use to ‘cope’ with the often overwhelming assault of human beauty in particular.

My media are colored pencils, acrylic paints and sometimes black and white drawings as well.  I also am a digital artist, using Photoshop CS4, Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, and Illustrator CS4 to create digital art.

I am looking forward to using my sketchbook as a ‘daily visual journal’.  This could birth ideas for more polished works of art.”
