Gerry Smida

Sort of Mt. Shasta’s “minstrel-in-residence”, Gerry sings and plays a number of instruments with sensitivity and gusto.  He travels from Portland to Carmel (with the occasional “pond-hop” to the Celtic Isles) performing at faires, benefits, weddings, anniversaries, business and individual parties, school assemblies, church services, civic events, etc.

His music draws from many sources:  World folk song and dance, traditional Celtic, modern media, pop, rock, spiritual and classical.  He plays many instruments, including the Celtic harp, keyboards, accordion, bagpipes, guitar, flutes and drums.  He has played with other artists including Kazango Jazz and Chick Music.
